A message from Mrs Reay - After the recent and very successful ski and snowboard trip I am extremely excited to announce that places are now available for next years ski and snowboard trip for 2009. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to experience doorstep skiing in one of Austria’s most special olympic ski resorts in a 3 star hotel and en-suite facilities (tv, telephone, shower etc). As with ski trips of the past places are expected to fly out the door like Mr Boxham on a snowboard.  (he’s fast). You can collect a booking form letter from the PE office from  Mr Bloxham, outside the PE office door, the cash office and student reception. Places will be given on a first come first served basis. Get in quick to guarentee you place.

The A-Team would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all the students who came with us on this year’s trip. You were fantastic & a real credit to yourselves & Bideford College. We have literally lost count of the many compliments paid to us about you and your behaviour. From instructors to hotel staff, from people in the mountain restaurants & cafe’s to folk we just bumped into on the ski lifts & gondolas, they all had something positive & good to say about you, your attitude & friendliness. As ever the trip has also been hard work for us but lots and lots of fun too and we too have had a great time. Thanks again guys you did us all proud.

Well….. we are back, after what seemed like a never ending coach journey we disgorged our cargo of tired but happy skiers & boarders late Saturday afternoon. The casualty list now runs to 3, with poor Mrs Reay breaking her wrist on Thursday afternoon. The staff at the ‘Krankenhaus’ were almost on first name terms with the Bideford posse. Everyone wishes ‘The Boss’ a speedy recovery in time for her surf trip to Morocco at Easter.  Anyway here are some pix to keep you going until we can compile the proper galleries in the next week or so………

Paddy & Arnie were winners of this years Bideford College Ski & Snowboard Trip’s outstanding contribution to comedy award after nearly hospitalising some members of the team with laughter related injuries.
