Coursework tasks will be posted here – just click on the coursework tag – with detailed guidance, and dates when the tasks must be completed.

The current years 10 and 11 are studying this course: GCSE Media Studies (4810)

The new course is a Double Award. This means two exams (in June 2010 and again in 2011), resulting in two GCSE’s.  There is no Higher or Foundation paper: all candidates sit exactly the same exam.

The topic for the exam in 2011 is Action Adventure Films

Kerboodle!

All students have log-in details to the Kerboodle! web site.  This is used to support the work undertaken on the GCSE, AS and A2 Media courses.  Work is often set, students then have to complete the task and upload it back to the site.  Their teacher can then mark it, and give them feedback on their progress.

If, as a parent or carer, you would like to view the work of your son/daughter, please  email me at shewitt@bideford.devon.sch.uk  or via the Contact Page and I will give you their log-on details.
Be aware, though, that not everything they have done will be via Kerboodle!, and the mark in given in terms of a percentage, which does not directly relate to a specific grade.

Of course, if you can always contact or email me at the address above, and I will be pleased to discuss progress with you.

Below are some current media students, one of which is in make-up prior to appearing in a short film exploring the representation of teenagers.
